Hace 6 días · Every year, PETA receives reports about dogs, cats, and other animals who have died after being left in hot cars or outside during hot weather. In 2023 alone, 163 animals endured heat–related deaths and another 855 were rescued from the heat—and those are just the ones that were reported. Most almost certainly aren’t.
15 de may. de 2024 · Dogs die in hot cars. Soon after, to the little dog’s delight, the owner appeared. He explained to the police that he had an appointment nearby and so, had left his dog in the car for around 3 hours! He wasn’t aware of the dangers of a hot car and was shocked to hear that his dog had been near death just a few moments ago.

Dogs can’t release heat by sweating, as humans do, so their internal body temperature rises more quickly. Some dogs, including senior pets and those with flatter faces, experience even more challenges in hot weather.
