Posterity would have us believe that Brian Eno’s landmark 1978 album Ambient 1: Music for Airports is not only Eno’s first ambient album but the first record of ambient music ever. You don’t have to be a historian of electronic music to know that actual history is rarely so clear-cut and tidy.
Weitaus mehr als z.B. "Music for Airports". Grund dafür ist einfach, dass ich Alben wie "Cluster & Eno" oder Harmonias "Tracks and Traces" von 1977 bereits kannte, bevor ich zu Enos "Ambient 1" also Airports kam. Den beiden vorherig genannten Werken hat Eno dann natürlich auch seinen Stempel offenhörbar aufgedrückt.
