Dick Parry (2) More images. Profile: Born: 1 January 1923, Launceston, Tasmania . Died: 2 May 1980, Hobart,Tasmania. Began performing professionally at Age 12 . On his 14th Birthday he first performed on Radio 7LA 's (Launceston) Boys Club Program, beginning a weekly program which ran for three years. Joined the Navy in WWII.
