Dick Button. Richard Totten Button (born July 18, 1929) [1] is an American former figure skater and skating analyst. He was a two-time Olympic champion (1948, 1952) and five-time consecutive World champion (1948–1952). He was also the only non-European man to have become European champion.
Dick Button is a figure skater who dominated American and international amateur competition in the late 1940s and early 1950s until he became a professional in 1952. He was the only man to win top honours in the Olympic, World, European, North American, and U.S. national competitions, and in 1948.

Dick Button was a dominant figure skater who won two Olympic gold medals and several world and European titles. He was also a Harvard graduate, a lawyer, and a commentator for figure skating events.
