Mike Stern (originally Sedgwick) born January 1953, is best known for his work with Miles Davis and as a member of Jaco Pastorius World of Mouth band.He also appeared in Blood, Sweat & Tears as well in Michael Brecker's band. He has also made several solo albums, been voted best jazz guitarist in Guitar Player Magazine and have several Grammy nominees.

Mike Stern (born January 10, 1953) is an American jazz guitarist. After playing with Blood, Sweat & Tears, he worked with drummer Billy Cobham, then with trumpeter Miles Davis from 1981 to 1983 and again in 1985. He then began a solo career, releasing more than a dozen albums.
