New guitarist Dan Bauman replaced Binns, Switzer left in the middle of the following tour, and by the time a hectic tour schedule was over a year and a half later, Barre was gone and Derrick Kuzemchuk was the new drummer.

Drummer Mike Melancon was also brought in to replace Kuzemchuk . Name change to Emerson Drive. As the band had been finding success in Canada, they decided to move to Nashville, Tennessee for an American record deal.
