Derek John "Blue" Weaver (born 11 March 1947) is a Welsh rock keyboardist, session musician, songwriter and record producer. Career. Weaver's career as a musician began as a co-founding member of 1960s Welsh rock band Amen Corner and its successor Fair Weather.

He is a keyboard player born Derek John “Blue” Weaver in Cardiff, Wales who studied music at Cardiff’s Royal College of Music. He was formerly a founder of Amen Corner and member of Mott the Hoople, Ian Hunter/Mick Ronson Band and The Strawbs and he joined the Bee Gees, staying with them from 1975 to 1980.
