Delia Ann Derbyshire (Coventry, 5 mei 1937 - Northampton, 3 juli 2001) was een Britse pionier op het gebied van de elektronische muziek en musique concrète. Ze is vooral bekend geworden door haar werk voor de BBC Radiophonic Workshop, waar ze onder meer de begingeneriek van de tv-serie Doctor Who realiseerde.

She is probably best known for her electronic realization of Ron Grainer's theme music to the British science fiction television series Doctor Who and for her work with the BBC Radiophonic Workshop.

The collaborative result is dreamlike and mesmerizing, an audial window to another era. For many years Derbyshire was not credited for her contribution, nor were the broadcasts available commercially, although they still managed to acquire something of a cult following.
