26 de abr. de 2024 · My go to everytime this topic comes up, is: Dear God - XTC Dear God - Midge Ure Both have similar lyrical content, but XTC's lyrics are more sardonic (what else would you expect from them) and more obviously atheist. And Midge Ure's are a little more heartfelt, and a bit more pleading.
i discovered “dear god” today, and first off, it’s an amazing song. second, it sounds SO familiar. there are portions of this song that i’m positive i’ve heard before, but i don’t recognize the full song. i’m pretty sure that the portions i recognize were performed by someone else.
