David Weeks (born on October 30, 1968) is an American designer of lighting, furniture, and household products. Early life [ edit ] Originally from Athens, Georgia , Weeks studied painting and sculpture at the Rhode Island School of Design , where he earned a BFA.
Widely regarded as the founding father of North American lighting design, David Weeks has been a pioneering figure in Brooklyn’s burgeoning independent design movement since his studio's early roots in Dumbo.
