David Malcolm Storey (Wakefield, Yorkshire, 13 de julio de 1933-Londres, 27 de marzo de 2017) fue un dramaturgo, guionista, novelista y jugador profesional de rugby a 13 británico. Ganó el Premio Booker en 1976 por su novela Saville, y el MacMillan Fiction Award por This Sporting Life en 1960.

A pesar de que comenzó su carrera literaria como dramaturgo, la fama le llegó con su primera novela, El ingenuo salvaje (1960), que se alzó con el Macmillan Fiction Award. Seguirían Flight into Camden (1961, Premio John Llewellyn Rhys y Premio Somerset Maugham), y Saville, que ganó el Premio Booker en 1976.
