A prolific writer and lecturer, Stead published Giants and Pigmies of the Deep and The Tree Book in 1933, The Rabbit in Australia in 1935 and Sharks and Rays of Australian Seas posthumously in 1963, besides numerous articles, papers, pamphlets and letters to the press and people in power.
David Stead (born 15 October 1966), is a drummer from Huddersfield, Yorkshire, England. Stead was the drummer for the alternate pop / rock band, The Beautiful South. After his parents separated, Stead moved with his mother and siblings to Cottingham, a village on the outskirts of Hull.
The Man Who Loved Children is a 1940 novel by Australian writer Christina Stead. It was not until a reissue edition in 1965, with an introduction by poet Randall Jarrell, that it found widespread critical acclaim and popularity. Time magazine included the novel in its TIME 100 Best English-language Novels from 1923 to 2005.
