They were not technically punk rock, but with their driving edge and their DGAF mentality, the influence that they had on punk is crystal clear. The twin guitar team of Johnny Thunders and Sylvain Sylvain was quite powerful, and David Johansen was one of the most charismatic frontmen of his time.
