David Jon Gilmour (Cambridge, Reino Unido, 6 de marzo de 1946) es un músico, compositor y multiinstrumentista británico. Es conocido por haber sido vocalista , guitarrista y uno de los compositores de la banda de rock progresivo Pink Floyd , a la cual se unió poco antes del abandono de Syd Barrett en 1968.
David Gilmour is a guitarist and vocalist with British rock band Pink Floyd, and was voted No. 1 in Fender's Greatest Players poll in the February 2006 Guitarist magazine in the UK. In June 2019, David raised $21.5m from the Christie's sale of more than 120 of his instruments and artefacts.
David Jon Gilmour CBE (/ ˈ ɡ ɪ l m ɔː r / GHIL-mor; born 6 March 1946) is an English guitarist, singer and songwriter, who is a member of the rock band Pink Floyd. He joined as guitarist and co-lead vocalist in 1967, shortly before the departure of founding member Syd Barrett.
