David C. Lewis is a Visiting Professor in the School of Ethnology and Sociology, Yunnan University, Kunming, China. Besides his teaching in China, he has taught about Japan at the universities of Cambridge and Leeds and has conducted research on the anthropology of religion in Japan, England, Russia and elsewhere in the former USSR.
David Kellogg Lewis (September 28, 1941 – October 14, 2001) was an American philosopher. Lewis taught briefly at UCLA and then at Princeton University from 1970 until his death. He is closely associated with Australia, whose philosophical community he visited almost annually for more than 30 years.
David C. Lewis (May 19, 1935 – December 2, 2020) was Professor Emeritus of Medicine and Community Health and the Donald G. Millar Distinguished Professor of Alcohol and Addiction Studies at Brown University. He was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the United States' National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence.
