Eire Apparent was a psychedelic band from Belfast, Northern Ireland, noted for launching the careers of Henry McCullough and Ernie Graham, and for having Robert Wyatt and Jimi Hendrix play on, and Jimi Hendrix produce, their only album. Originally formed as The People (9) in 1965, they changed their name to Eire Apparent in 1967. They broke up in May 1970.

Their first and last album is an excellent example of folk-rock that winks at the sounds of Byrds enriched with British psychedelia. Generally soft and beautiful melodies, with dreamy and graceful atmosphere, some more aggressive parts in the typical sixties sounds, with choirs and double voices.
