David "Clem" Clempson (born 5 September 1949) is an English rock guitarist who has played as a member in a number of bands including Colosseum and Humble Pie. Career. Clempson began his career in the late 1960s with the power trio, Bakerloo (originally The Bakerloo Blues Line), playing blues-rock.

Everyone calls me Clem, except for my mother, who calls me David. The nickname came from when I started school, in the Fifties. What I hated was when people used to put on record sleeves “Dave ‘Clem’ Clempson”.
