Stuff. Daniel Miller (born March 24, 1954) is an anthropologist who is closely associated with studies of human relationships to things, the consequences of consumption and digital anthropology. His theoretical work was first developed in Material Culture and Mass Consumption and is summarised more recently in his book Stuff.

Daniel Miller is a professor of anthropology at UCL and the director of the Centre for Digital Anthropology. He has written 43 books on smartphones, ageing, mHealth, material culture and transnational domestic labour. He is also the author of the Why We Post, The Anthropology of Smartphones and Smart Ageing, and The Global Smartphone projects.

He is author/editor of thirty-nine books mainly concerned with the study of material culture, consumption, and digital anthropology. He has conducted fieldwork in India, Ireland, Philippines, Solomon Islands, Trinidad, and the United Kingdom.
