11 de jun. de 2021 · Roger Taylor seems to want to have a reminder of his friend, former Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, which is why he chose to place a statue of him in his garden. The 20-foot bronze statue was used as a promotional piece for the musical "We Will Rock You," and it originally stood at the entrance of the Dominican Theatre in London for more than a decade, according to Express .

Disappointingly, the only other song he recalls recording with Bowie was a rough version of Criminal World by minor late-70s British New Wave band Metro, which Bowie later reworked into a slick funk-pop arrangement for his blockbuster 1983 album Let’s Dance.
Taylor actually has a long standing interest in that particular field, having produced and DJ-ed underground electronic dance music after he left the band for a 15-year spell between 1986 and 2001. “It’s kind of weird that it’s coming full circle now it’s become part of the Duran sound, in a way, that electronic dance thing, but we’ve always loved electronic music, actually,” he says.
