Captain Mainwaring, thanks to 80 episodes in nine series during the 1960s and 1970s and repeated endlessly thereafter, is Captain Mainwaring as played by Arthur Lowe. Sergeant Wilson can only ever be John Le Mesurier’s Wilson and Corporal Jones only ever Clive Dunn’s Jones.
13 de may. de 2024 · Mr Snoad is incorrect - Harold Snoad was the director of a number of episodes of "Dad's Army". He later went on to work on "Keeping Up Appearances". Mr Lavender is incorrect - Ian Lavender played Private Frank Pike and was the last surviving regular cast member of "Dad's Army". He appeared in 80 episodes and both "Dad's Army" feature films.
