Cowboy Junkies. Informação geral. O Cowboy Junkies é um grupo musical do Canadá cujo estilo se situa entre o rock alternativo e o country music. O grupo é formado por três irmãos da família Timmins, além do baixista Alan Anton. A banda se formou em Toronto, no ano de 1985 .
27 de ene. de 2023 · Cowboy Junkies inadvertently started a revolution when they appeared in the late ‘80s. The Trinity Session featured the band’s unforgettable cover of the Velvet Underground’s “Sweet Jane”, and combined folk, country, blues and rock in a way that had never been heard before.
Cowboy Junkies third studio album had some classic songs in there. “Where are you Tonight” is one of the most beautiful, poignant songs on the album. The sounds are quite unique, and the lyrics are original, to say the least. “Where are you Tonight” is, in my opinion, one of the band’s best-ever songs in their long catalog of great songs.
Cowboy Junkies are an alternative country and folk rock band formed in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1985 by Alan Anton, Michael Timmins, Peter Timmins and Margo Timmins. The three Timminses are siblings, and Anton worked with Michael Timmins during their first couple of bands. John Timmins was a member of the band but left the group before the recording of their debut studio album.
