Conrad Hartley Pelham Shawcross RA (born 26 April 1977) is a British artist specializing in mechanical sculptures based on philosophical and scientific ideas. When he was elected, Conrad Shawcross was the youngest living member of the Royal Academy of Arts.
Conrad Shawcross is a sculptor who explores subjects on the borders of geometry, physics and metaphysics. He uses materials and media to create ambitious and enigmatic structures and machines, often inspired by historical figures and scientific theories. He has had solo exhibitions at museums and galleries around the world, and his work is in the Royal Academy's collection.
