1976–present. Website. www.colintowns.com. Colin William Towns (born 13 May 1948) is an English composer and keyboardist. He was noted for playing in bands formed by ex- Deep Purple singer Ian Gillan, and later worked extensively in composing soundtracks for film, television and commercials.
Colin Towns is a multi-talented composer, pianist, songwriter and producer who has worked on various projects in jazz, film, theatre and sound design. He is the leader of the Mask Orchestra, a jazz ensemble that features some of the most esteemed players on the scene, and has composed music for classic and contemporary plays.
