Colin Fletcher (14 March 1922 – 12 June 2007) was a pioneering backpacker and writer. In 1963, Fletcher walked the length of that portion of Grand Canyon contained within the 1963 boundaries of Grand Canyon National Park.

Colin Fletcher was a backpacker and writer, best known as the author of The Complete Walker, the comprehensive guide to backpacking that Field and Stream magazine has called ‘the hiker’s Bible’. Born in Cardiff, Wales March 14th 1922, Fletcher was educated in England.
