Cold Mountain es una película larga, dos horas y media de metraje. Y lo cierto es que Minghella tenía más escenas rodadas, de las que tuvo que prescindir, pero que vienen como extra en el DVD. Gracias al cuidadoso montaje de Walter Murch, no se echan en falta, pero no está mal descubrir aquello de lo que se prescindió.
