30 de jun. de 2010 · If I am asking you to search a paper in the corner of a room and I want you to move (physically) closer to the place and search, I may use, look closer. But, if I am asking you to find a word written on a paper, I would say, look more closely. I here donot mean you should bring the paper closer to you eyes. But you should look more carefully.

Clouded is closer to the past participle used as a passive. It describes what has happened to something to make it the way it is. Eg His judgement is clouded (by his love for Justin Bieber). If the sky is clouded by clouds - it is not natural to say that, as it goes without saying - it is just cloudy
