Clifton Powell (b. Mar 16, 1956) is a renowned American actor and producer who is popularly recognized for playing supporting roles in films, such as in Ray (2004), for which he received an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture nomination. He is also famously known for his voice-acting role as Big Smoke in the 2004 video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
Clifton Powell studied at THE JAMAICA SCHOOL OF ART, Kingston Jamaica, before moving to the UK at the end of the 1980s. In London he worked with TEMPOLE ART, one of the leading framers and suppliers of Black Art in the UK. With them, he took part in numerous exhibitions including THE INTERNATIONAL BLACK ART FAIR.
