Additionally, Circle offers seven-week summer intensives for acting and musical theatre students. Circle in the Square Theatre School's primary objective is to train actors and singers for work in professional theatre, film, and television; it utilizes an eclectic curriculum to expose the students to various acting styles, methods, and techniques.
Founded in 1961, Circle in the Square Theatre School is the only accredited training conservatory associated with a Broadway theater. Committed to reaching a diverse body of students, the school is partnered with the Harlem School of the Arts and the Association of Hispanic Arts.
At its inception, Circle in the Square Theatre School only had fifteen students. Now, every year, between its four programs, Circle has approximately 150 students walk through its doors to hone their craft and become great actors.
We aim to support and educate our students, giving them the tools to become successful working actors and unique theatre artists with the ability to adapt to an ever-evolving industry. Orientation: September 7th & 8th, 2023. Fall Term Begins: September 11th, 2023. Winter Break: December 17th 2023- January 7th, 2024.
