Alex Chilton (born William Alexander Chilton; December 28, 1950 – March 17, 2010) was an American musician, singer-songwriter and record producer, best known as the lead singer of the Box Tops and Big Star.
Clichés is the fourth solo album released by American pop rock musician Alex Chilton. It was recorded and released in 1993. Chilton recorded the album in New Orleans at Chez Flames, the studio of producer and recording engineer Keith Keller, who also wrote the song "Lies", featured on Chilton's album A Man Called Destruction .
The Christmas Song by Alex Chilton was written by Robert Wells and Mel Tormé and was first recorded by Nat "King" Cole [Trio] in 1989. It was first released by The King Cole Trio with String Choir in 1946. Alex Chilton released it on the album Clichés in 1993.
