The bouncers at Rock city at the time were all burly and scary looking (friendly) bikers and there was a real crush up front of the stage.

I just bought a Crane Plus. I'm using it with an original BMPCC. The BMPCC body is very light. I also have very light legacy lenses like Leica M and Voigtlander.
