Chris Markwood (born December 22, 1981) is an American basketball coach who is the current head coach of the Maine Black Bears men's basketball team. [2] Playing career. Markwood played high school basketball at South Portland High School where he was named Maine's Gatorade Player of the Year in 2000. [3] .

In his first full season at the helm of the Maine men’s basketball program, in led the team to the most wins in a season since 2010-11 with 13 wins and a playoff berth in the America East Championships.
