Parish produced the Giant Sand album Chore of Enchantment (2000), and a photograph of his wedding in Tucson in 1998 was used as the cover for the 2011 re-release of the record. He also began working as a film composer in 1998, writing the score for Belgian director Patrice Toye's debut film, Rosie.

Tracks 6, 13, 14, 15 were mixed by John Parish there. Track 16 was recorded and mixed there by Harvey & Jessica, Rainer and Howe. Tracks 5, 6, 15 were recorded in Tucson at Wave Lab Studio with John Parish, Head, Craig Schumacher, and Nick Luca. Track 7 was recorded there by Winston Watson. Tracks 5, 7 were mixed by Howe there.

10 de sept. de 2002 · Parish produced and contributed to the critically acclaimed albums It's A Wonderful Life by Sparklehorse, Goldfrapp's Felt Mountain and Giant Sand's Chore Of Enchantment. He is perhaps known best for nearly twenty years worth of collaborations with PJ Harvey.
