Chigwell School is a co-educational independent boarding and day school in the English public school tradition located in Chigwell, in the Epping Forest district of Essex. It consists of a pre-prep (ages 4–8), Junior School (ages 8–11), Senior School (ages 11–16) and sixth form .

Our entry points are: Pre Prep: Age 4+ (Reception) Prep School: Age 7+ (Year 3) Lower School: Age 11+ (Year 7) Senior School: Age 13+ (Year 9) Sixth Form (including boarders): 16+ (Year 12) Occasionally, we are able to admit children of other ages, depending on spaces being available.

At Chigwell, we pride ourselves on our warm and friendly approach and take time to get to know future pupils and their families well. We are a selective school but we do our best to make the assessment process as comfortable and enjoyable as possible – we want to see applicants at their best.

The School remains a vital hub for maintaining links and offering Old Chigwellians the chance to network with one another, therefore staying in contact with you is important to us.
