Checkers is a 1919 American silent melodrama film, directed by Richard Stanton. There are no known archival holdings of the film, so it is presumably a lost film. The film is based on the screenplay with the same name by Henry Blossom.
Synopsis. Race horse enthusiast "Checkers" falls in love with Pert Barlow despite the protests of her father, wealthy Southern Judge Barlow, who had hoped his daughter would marry Arthur Kendall. Checkers enters Pert's horse Remorse in a race in which Kendall's horse is also running.
