Charlie Ondras (October 5, 1966 – June 22, 1992) was an American drummer from New York and a founding member of the noise rock band Unsane, formerly Lawn-Chair-Blisters. He also collaborated with Jon Spencer and Cristina Martinez under the name Boss Hog and appeared on the band's first two releases.
19 de abr. de 2023 · We had a practice space with The Honeymoon Killers and Jon Spencer’s band Pussy Galore, because Charlie [Ondras], our drummer at the time, met Jon and his girlfriend Christina (Martinez, future Boss Hog vocalist) at a Billy Idol show and Jon offered to let us share their space.
12 de oct. de 2017 · Our drummer, and one of my best friends, Charlie Ondras, passed away from a drug overdose just a few weeks before a European tour and the upcoming recording session. We had done a show as the backing band for Jim Thirlwell (Foetus) with Vincent Signorelli as a second drummer and had been really impressed with his skills.

Unsane is the debut album by Unsane, released in 1991 through Matador Records. It is the only studio album by the group to feature founding member Charlie Ondras, who died of a heroin overdose during the 1992 New Music Seminar in New York during the tour supporting the album. [2]
