We were just talking about him recently, mostly about the fact that he’s recorded 26 studio albums but most people only remember his 1973 debut, Tubular Bells, and even then they only seem to know the portion that was used in the 1973 horror classic The Exorcist.He’s primarily a guitarist but plays a number of instruments.

It just so happened that he was involved in some recordings at a studio owned by Richard Branson, who was just about to launch Virgin Records.
