Carson Van Osten (1945-2015) was born in Philadelphia and studied at the Philadelphia College of Art before beginning his work in TV and film animation. From 1969 to 1976, he worked for Disney Studio, writing and illustrating Mickey Mouse and Goofy comics.

Carson Van Osten wurde am 24. September 1946 in den USA geboren und studierte Mitte der Sechziger an der "University of the Arts" in Philadelphia. Anschließend trat er der erfolglosen Band "Woody's Truck Stop" bei, wechselte aber bald zur populäreren Psychedelic-Rock-Band Nazz, die er zusammen mit seinem Freund Todd Rundgren 1967 gründete.
