In 1992, Rucker’s mom died of a heart attack and she didn’t get to experience any of his incredible success. Rucker tells the Associated Press that this album is a collection of joyful songs for his biggest supporter.
Having previously teased the forthcoming project on NBC’S “TODAY,” Diamond-certified star Darius Rucker announces that his first solo album in six years, Carolyn’s Boy, is set for release October 6 via UMG Nashville and available for preorder now.
