BFA S tudent Experience. School of Art students are both intellectually and artistically curious. The BFA curriculum integrates both highly conceptual and theoretical study and hands-on studio courses, fully acknowledging that neither concept nor media can be presented independently of the other. The program is a conservatory training course within a university setting offering students a four-year, sequence-based program leading to a B.F.A. in Drama. Both acting and music theater students take the same extensive core curriculum classes of acting, voice and speech, and movement.
Overview. The College of Fine Arts at Carnegie Mellon University was founded in 1905 as the first comprehensive arts learning institution in the United States.
