Celebrating 150 years of pioneering education. Camden was founded as a school for girls in 1871 by Frances Mary Buss, one of the great pioneers of women's education. The school therefore has a long tradition of promoting opportunities for girls. Our Aims.
The Camden School for Girls (CSG) is a comprehensive secondary school for girls, with a co-educational sixth form, in the London Borough of Camden in north London. It has about one thousand students of ages eleven to eighteen, and specialist-school status as a Music College . [1]

Decisions are made between students, parents and staff. Camden School for Girls is one of the few remaining maintained schools to offer the full range of classical subjects; Classical Civilization, Latin and Ancient Greek.
2021 marks 150 years existence of Camden School for Girls and the school carries on its traditions and remembers every Spring its founder Frances Mary Buss who was such a visionary.

Student Life » The Academic Curriculum. We offer a two-year three A level programme of study in the Sixth Form. There will be the option for some students to take four A levels: each of these will be considered on an individual basis and will be dependent on their GCSE results.
