Camden School for Girls is steeped in history and has a long standing tradition of providing an exceptional education for all its students. The pioneering work of Frances Mary Buss and the dedication of the subsequent school leaders and staff has culminated in the tremendous institution that the school is today and I am honoured to ‘take up the baton’.
9am - 11am. Friday 20 September 2024. 9am - 11am. Monday 23 September 2024. 5pm - 7pm. Each open event will include a tour of the school and a talk by the Headteacher, as well as an opportunity to ask questions about the admissions process. There is no need to register for the open events. Please arrive promptly. The event lasts for 2 hours.
The Camden School grew rapidly from 40 girls to 161 in just 6 months! By February 1873 governors had to take another house in Camden Street and numbers rose to 331. The school’s first waiting list was soon established. Funds for The Camden School were however short and attitudes towards female education were still hostile.
Some courses have specific requirements (details for each subject here ). To study Further Maths students must be predicted a minimum of grade 7 in mathematics. Please carefully read our Determined Admissions Arrangements before submitting an application. The deadline for applications is midday, Wednesday 10 January 2024.
