18 de mar. de 2023 · Cambridge British school was opened in Fitzroy Street in 1840. (fn. 70) By 1847 it took boys, girls, and infants, and there were about 450 pupils in 1870. (fn. 71) The school was rebuilt for about 700 children in Brunswick Terrace in 1900 and was transferred to the local authority as the first council school in the Borough in 1905. (fn. 72)
