The Cambridge & County School for Boys, which during the past four years has been very insufficiently accommodated at St Columba’s Hall, reached an important stage in its career.
Hills Road Sixth Form College was established on 15 September 1974 on the site of the former Cambridgeshire High School for Boys, when education in Cambridgeshire was reorganised on a comprehensive basis, and grammar schools and secondary moderns were replaced by a system of (mainly) 11–16 comprehensive schools and sixth form colleges.
The new school, The Cambridge and County School for Boys, was established in response to the lack of technical training opportunities for boys in the County, particularly those living outside of Cambridge City.
The Netherhall School and The Oakes College is a mixed secondary school and sixth form located in the Queen Edith ward of Cambridge, England. Its logo is a modified version of the arms of the City of Cambridge. It is one of the largest schools in the area in terms of capacity.
