2 de abr. de 2012 · I should further mention that if you are running a 64-bit version of Windows and a 32-bit version of Qt Creator like I am, you need to make sure that you are pointing to the 32-bit versions of cdb (of which there are x86 and x64 target versions). So for the 32-bit target builds I run this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\8.0\Debuggers\x86 ...
15 de sept. de 2017 · I know that cdb is available as a part of Windows SDK, but is not installed when I install Windows SDK through Visual Studio 2017 installer. On the other hand, if I install Windows SDK standalone (available here), I can select "Debugging Tools", and finally I get the expected folder Debuggers in Windows kits, that contains cdb.
In tree, highlight "gdb/cdb debugger" by clicking it. Click "create configuration" Add "gdb.exe" (no quotes) as a configuration. Delete default configuration. Click on gdb.exe that you created in the tree (it should be the only one) and a dialogue will appear to the right for "executable path" with a button to the right.

20 de oct. de 2016 · Since your Qt is compiled with MSVC the best option is indeed CDB (for GDB you would need, for example, a MinGW compiled version). Debugging should be out of the box. One first point I could think is whether for some reason Qt Creator doesn't see your debugging tools for Windows.
17 de feb. de 2015 · I know I said before that the CDB was 64 bit, but it wasn't. I THOUGHT it was and didn't check carefully enough. What happened here is that Qt used the auto-detected 32 bit version of CDB. Argh. So I had to go to the kit settings and tell it to use the other one. It works now and Qt Creator correctly uses its 64 bit version of qtcreatorcdbext.dll.
22 de sept. de 2016 · After all this I now have the CDB debugger. C:\Program Files\Debugging Tools for Windows (x64)\cdb.exe In QT it auto detects the cdb.exe, this is what my kit looks like. When trying to run a debug session it simply starts and quits. Debugging starts Debugging has finished
