C.S. Lewis werd begraven op het kerkhof van de Holy Trinity Church in zijn woonplaats Headington, bij Oxford. Walter Hooper (1931-2020), die Lewis in zijn laatste jaren als secretaris had bijgestaan, voorkwam na zijn dood dat veel aantekeningen, losse geschriften en onvoltooid werk zouden worden weggegooid.
