Hace 3 días · Guitarist Brinsley Schwarz and bassist Nick Lowe had known one another since their school days in Suffolk. They'd played together in the group Sounds 4 + 1 before Brinsley formed a new band, Three's a Crowd. When that group enlarged and evolved into Kippington Lodge, they'd began garnering attention but were plagued by shifting personnel.

Hace 1 día · London’s pub rock circuit saw stalwarts Brinsley Schwarz joined by early Ian Dury outfit Kilburn & The High Roads, Ace (who scored a hit single with the timeless ‘How Long’) and Dr. Feelgood, whose aggressive attitude and slashing, guitar-based brand of tough R&B influenced a whole new generation of musicians.

Elvis Costello and other notable artists also performed the track. The lyrics are about wishing for peace and harmony in a sometimes cruel world.
