  1. Bridgid Annisette-George is a Trinidadian lawyer and politician. She has been the Speaker of House of Representatives of Trinidad and Tobago since 2015, the second female to hold the position and currently the world's second longest female incumbent to consecutively hold the office of Speaker.

  2. Mrs. Annisette George was apponted Speaker of the House of the 11th Parliament in 2015 and again in the 12th Parliament in 2020. An alumna of St. Joseph's Convent, Port-of-Spain, Mrs. Annisette-George is also a graduate of the University of the West Indies, having obtained her Bachelor of Law from that institution in 1981.

At the University of the West Indies, she studied law and graduated with a Bachelors of Law. An associate tutor and lecturer at the Hugh Wooding Law School. Practiced law at the firm of Messrs. G.R Annisette & Co between 1999 and 2003.
