Storm Front marked a radical change in Joel's backing band. Since his last studio album ( The Bridge ), both Russell Javors and Doug Stegmeyer , long-time members of Joel's band, were discharged from their respective duties as rhythm guitarist and bass guitarist.
"That's Not Her Style" is a song by Billy Joel released as the fifth single from his album Storm Front, as well as the opening track on the album. It was written for Joel's then-wife Christie Brinkley. The song was the lowest-charting single from the album, failing to crack the top 70 in the United States.

8 de abr. de 2014 · The title song “Storm Front” is pure Motown through and through with good rhythm, slow riffs, and a rich horn arrangement by Jeff Jacobs. “Lenningrad” is historical ballad which feels like it would have fit in well on the 1982 album The Nylon Curtain.

Although The Bridge sold reasonably well and Billy had played historic concerts in the Soviet Union resulting in the 1987 live album Kohuept, he was in a bit of a rut.
