The film ends on an abrupt and expectedly doomed note, it's presumably evident the protagonist never really got what he chased. But, the film itself—greeted with rapturous applause and laughter to a packed house over 50 years on—I think it's safe to say Buesst got it. Review by Lucy ★★★★ 2. MIFF 2022 - Film #8.
