Bolesław Bierut fue un político, activista comunista polaco líder de la República Popular de Polonia desde 1947 hasta 1956. Fue presidente del Consejo Nacional del Estado de 1944 a 1947, Presidente de Polonia de 1947 a 1952, Secretario General del Comité Central del Partido Obrero Unificado Polaco de 1948 a 1956, y Primer Ministro de Polonia de 1952 a 1954.
